Salute Mfazi – A women’s month special by Buhlebendalo

Salute Mfazi – Is a music concert presented by Buhlebendalo (The Soil) in honour of women in South Africa during National women’s month. The name Salute Mfazi is taken from one of Buhlebendalo’s songs on her upcoming solo album Chosi. Buhlebendalo is a gender activist and an award-winning musician who has released albums and performed internationally with her A cappella Group The Soil. The concept SALUTE MFAZI came to Buhlebendalo in 2018 when she was asked to perform a tribute song to the late Winnie Mandela during the month Winnie passed away. She composed and performed the song to an audience at Constitution Hill (a prison where many women including Winnie Mandela served time as political prisoners during Apartheid. Embarking on her solo career, she will be releasing her music to the public through various concerts around the country starting in August during women’s month where she will pay a special tribute to all women of South Africa. She will perform all songs from her solo album coming out soon.

Where: Maboneng, Fox Street 299, Johannesburg
