Darling’s limited Bold and Bright Yaki braid collection is giving us all kinds of summer hair goals

Darling couldn’t have chosen a better time and place to launch its limited Bright and Bold Yaki braid collection. Yet again, Darling Hair crowned models walking the runway at Soweto Fashion Week with bold and exciting hairstyles.

To launch Darling’s new Bold and Bright Yaki braid collection hairstylists got creative with the royal purple, electric blue and the bold olive green. We chat to Peane, Senior Brand Manager at Darling Hair about the inspiration behind this bold and exciting range of colours.

“Bold and Bright Yaki braid collection is bringing excitement into the market. We looked at current international and local trends and found that people have gained more confidence to try new brighter colours.”

Braid colours have always been either extremely dark or very bright; Darling finds a balance by introducing colours that come in bright solids and subtle ombrés.

Our colour selection was created with both light and dark skin tones in mind so anyone can play!

“There are different kinds of people who wear colour, some people are subtler and just want to add streaks of colour, so we have the unique bright solids. For those who prefer a dark base we have ombrés of the same colour selection. And extreme colour lovers can wear two colours in multiple shades or go big with psychedelic rainbow colours. Our colour selection was created with both light and dark skin tones in mind so anyone can play! We also have a pink and a purple for the kids’ range.”

Summer is perfect for trying new hairstyles and daring colours. With Darling’s limited Bright and Bold collection you are guaranteed to turn heads everywhere you go these holidays.
